CHF Raw Cows Milk Herdshare
We are pleased to offer grassfed, Jersey cows milk to members of our community through our Herdshare program. With pickup locations at our farm in Dowling, Michigan, as well as our pickup point at Thrive Chiropractic & Wellness Center in Caledonia, we strive to offer unmatched quality, service and community.
Pictured is Autumn, a Belfair heifer born on our farm in 2022. We milk Jersey cows, along with two Holstein-Jersey crosses, but our herd bull is an Irish Dexter, who gives us hearty, vigorous calves. This cross enables us to raise delicious grassfed and finished beef.
Ethical Omnivores.
In the early days of our journey, we realized with great conviction that industrial agriculture wasn’t offering an ethical option for consuming meat or dairy. We felt the great desire to farm, to return to our roots - but struggled with the ethics of it all, and danced with the idea of vegetarianism out of distrust and disappointment in the options available on the grocery store shelves. There had to be a better way. We realized that by only refraining from eating meat from the grocery store, we weren’t doing enough to take on what we were so opposed to.
So, it became personal. Change begins with us.
We took up a new mission, to offer better options for our own family’s table - and then to our surrounding community - ethical, sustainable options that offered our animals a healthy and fulfilling life that respects ones conscience, the creature, and our Creator. We challenge you to evaluate your food sources.
